I have known Mr. Ewan Shanks approximately 10 years. We met when I started looking for jobs after high school. At the age of 17, I was desperately in need of a job to help provide for my family. I applied at Giftland Office Max where Mr. Shanks, the head of Human Resources at that time, interviewed me for the Customer Service Representative position. He was very professional and a great ambassador for the company. Ultimately, he found me a good fit for the position and granted me the opportunity to began my career. Following that position, I became a sales coordinator for the Guyana Marriott. Just one year later, I became the youngest manager in the Caribbean and Latin American region for the company. After 5 years as the manager at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, I had the opportunity to grow once again. I am now serving as the Sales and Marketing Manager of one of the largest hotels in Guyana, the Pegasus Suites and Corporate Center. The success in my career started with Mr. Shanks believing in me and checking in on my progress. I am very grateful for his guidance and support in my career.
